About Me

Meet the Artist

Abby Jenkins is a 30 year old artist from Nashville, TN. She grew up with a lot of artistic inspiration, her grandmother being a talented artist, painter and photographer was her biggest inspiration. Throughout her school career she was lucky to have some amazing art teachers who saw her ability and really poured into her and made her a better artist. This is a culmination of her life’s work as it has been refined through travel, influence and dedication to furthering her craft.

Approach

My Approach

All of my work starts with a spark of inspiration - a cool place, a feeling, a bit of nostalgia, an ordinary object or subject that I want to see differently. I’m drawn to the balance between beauty and the unexpected, blending familiar subjects with subtle surrealism, vintage influence, and playful uses of color.

Working digitally gives me the freedom to experiment without limits. I can move between pencils, paint, ink, texture, and color while still keeping that hand drawn quality I love. Every piece is built layer by layer, allowing an idea to change and evolve until it feels entirely its own.

Although I absolutely love digital, I’m still an analog lover. I still do regular sketches and drawings on paper and sketchbooks etc. Finding a pretty spot outside and sketching a gorgeous scene with your favorite drawing pencil can’t be replaced!

Inspiration

Artistic Inspirations

My work as an artist has so many inspirations, I’ve been lucky enough to see some amazing places, live in a very art forward place (Sarasota, Fl) and have met so many creatives in my life already. My family is full of creatives who inspire me endlessly, they’re always willing to lend their expertise too. I look forward to future connections I make while putting my art out there for the world.
